Once again I'm drawing knights of Gondor, heavily inspired by the Byzantines!
This man is a nobleman from the Southern regions of the Kingdom of Gondor, or as was known, Harondor. That fiefdom was essentially the northern part of the Harad continent of Middle-earth, so this guy is from the equivalent of north Africa, and he looks like a man from that region. Tall, with swarthy skin and dark beard and hair, noble in appearance and strong in complexion.
His gear is the standard for a cataphract/knight. His armor consists on a klivanion over a mail shirt, armguards and, not picture here, a helmet with an aventail.
His weapons are a lance, a bronze mace and a sword (based on a Galovo type spathion). He also carries a dished round shield with the Harondor heraldry. The scabbard has the phrase "Aurë entuluva" inscribed in Tengwar script.
Under the armor he's wearing a decorated heavy tunic, and his legs are covered by pants and coptic socks.
The Harondor emblem isn't described in any way in the books, so I made one. Is a Mallorn flower, with the ring of Barahir interlocked with it, and three white stars on top. I used the ring of Barahir for this to sort of keep the theme of snakes and serpents associated with Harad. It seemed fitting in my opinion.
